Planning a trip to Iceland? Be sure to visit us in, Vestmannaeyjar, off the south coast of Iceland, just a 30 minute ferry ride from famous Seljalandsfoss. Open seasonally, from April to October, explore our Visitor Centre to learn more about the residents of the world's first beluga whale sanctuary!
All the money raised from ticket sales helps us to provide the best possible care for Little White and Little Grey and the other animals in our care.
Our Visitor Centre located in Vestmannaeyjar Harbour includes:
- Iceland's only Puffin Rescue Centre
- Native species aquarium
- Educational displays about the beluga whales and our sanctuary

Our puffin hospital is temporarily closed to visitors as the sanctuary undertakes important renovation work.
These upgrades are designed to enhance the habitat and facilities for the puffins, ensuring their continued well-being and comfort. We appreciate your understanding and support during this period and look forward to welcoming visitors back once the improvements are complete.
