Volunteer Program Update

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! Currently, we do not have any volunteer positions available as we are actively working on enhancing our volunteer program.

We welcome inquiries from all interested parties, especially those with expertise in fields such as marine biology, aquatics, ornithology, or related areas. Your background and skills are valuable to us.

For those eager to join our team, we maintain a robust database of enthusiasts ready to dive into the action. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer and can travel to Vestmannaeyjar for a one-month commitment, please send your resume and availability details to belugas@sealifetrust.com.

In the meantime, please keep an eye on our social media channels and website for updates regarding future opportunities.

Puffling Season

If you are interested in volunteering during the puffling season to assist with oiled or injured bird care, please be aware that we cannot yet be certain when the birds are likely to fledge until 4-6 weeks prior to fledging, due to annual variances. At the time, we are always in need of volunteers with bird handling experience or veterinary expertise. Timing is likely to be late August and this is unpaid volunteer work.

While there are no current openings, we encourage puffin-passionate individuals with relevant experience to send their resume and availability to belugas@sealifetrust.com. Also, keep an eye on our channels for potential future opportunities together!
